ACE Centre is delighted to have been identified by NHS England as the specialised AAC service for the North West and Wessex and Thames Valley specialised commissioning regions. Thirteen services in total will be commissioned across the country and will be required to be compliant with the Service Specification in order to deliver specialised AAC assessments, AAC equipment provision and initial training and awareness raising for children and adults who meet the eligibility criteria in the service specification.
ACE Centre will be recruiting additional staff in the coming months in order to provide these services. Anyone wishing to make a referral is requested to use our NHS referral form here. We are currently managing a waiting list that also identifies anyone meeting the prioritisation criteria in the service specification and will start to deliver these new services once funding is made available by NHS England. ACE Centre will continue to provide existing services in addition to those required by the NHS England contract dependent upon capacity and funding to do so.
