Network Day - A Focus on AAC & Autism on 20th March
Tuesday 20th March 2012, 9.30am to 4pm
Venue: Milton Park Innovation Centre, Abingdon, OX14 4RY
Delegate fee: £75
Our networking day is a great opportunity to get together with other professionals, parents and carers interested in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and Assistive Technology (AT). The day will include key speakers in the field of AAC and AT, with a particular focus on autism. There's a burgeoning awareness of the opportunities that AAC and AT can offer individuals on the autistic spectrum. From an introduction to specific apps and communication technology, to supportive strategies, this day will look at the very latest approaches in this field. It will also include details of a new course for parents and support staff to facilitate communication using AAC for all client groups, and a 'What's New' slot aimed at bringing people up to speed with the latest technological developments, alongside an exhibition by suppliers. This Networking Day is suitable for all parents, professionals and enablers in both health and education.
